I'm cool, I promise.

Throughout my life, I've had many interests and fascinations. I was a curious kid turned antsy teen (who ultimately became a weird, sad adult and I am fine with that now).

All my favorite things were in the creative spheres. As the daughter of youth pastors, I loved organizing games or experiences that made people laugh and feel okay. I loved watching Zoom (the 02134 one, not meetings from Hell) for the goofy skit segments and would write my own skits and short films. When it came to school, history and science kicked my ass, but I excelled in my writing classes. College was where I found my perfect creative pursuit: writing for performance.

I think because of my rapid-fire brain, I've always had a lot to say. As a result, I faced a fair-share of anxiety. Writing was a huge outlet for me. Sharing stories and being collectively moved with unexpected people become the best drug I'd ever taken. Not that I've taken many. (Note to editor: please scan the rest of the website for drug jokes).

In college, I wrote for a live sketch comedy show. I wrote some short films and plays, and was even nominated as one of three to represent my class in a school-wide comedy competition (We did not do well. I'm sorry, class of 2020. We are not a funny class). But I loved it all. In 2022 I graduated from Emerson College with an MFA in screenwriting.

The closest relationships I've had in life have been with scrappy little nerds who also have a lot to say. I am proud to be a part of that club, even if we undoubtedly have some serious unresolved issues. It's probably fine. Here's to us! The scrappy little nerds. May we forever be weird and sad.

tf is she?
